Our circumferential welding machine is existing of a rotating chuck to clamp the two round steel workpieces that needs to be welded together. This welding machines is designed to weld round workpieces like cylinders, tubes, pipes, pipe fittings. This welding machine rotates two parts in a clamping set during the orbital welding process.  There is no need after beveling a V-bevel with a land to also manual tag weld the parts together before putting the parts in the automated welding machine because the parts all well aligned and clamped together.

The machine has a laser that scans the butt-weld surface of the complete groove of the two parts, this data the laser senses is being transferred to the software of the machine and the adaptive control of the machine than can adapt to that situation by changing it’s parameters like rotating speed, arc voltage, oscillation width and wire feed.

The circumferential welding process is basically welding a rotating pipe spool with a welding torch on top of it. The advantage that we offer is that the workpieces are scanned before welding to adapt the on the situation with adapting the welding parameters at the right moment.  This is required to be able to adapt on the situation in high-low differences or for example a wider gap that opens up and to still create a smooth high-quality weld.

For a machine for welding butt welding connections on pipes and fittings we can offer you the circumferential welding machine. The machine can be made custom made with MIG, MAG, TIG, SAW or WIG welding processes as you require it. The complete machine is controlled over a central control and PLC software is from Siemens with our own operator level on top.

The machine is having a rotating chuck where the two round workpieces are aligned and clamped in, after that the machine is scanning the pipe butt welding surface with a laser to scan it for deviations or in perfections to be able to adapt on this with changing the welding parameters automatically.
