We retrofitted an old 5-axis pipe profiling machine from Vernon Tool to make it ready for the future. The new system components floated in over the roof.
The mechanical components – infeed conveyor, cutting conveyor and outfeed conveyor – had their drive technology upgraded and supplemented with the latest technology. The profiling machine proper including the torch carriage track, torch carriage, cutting head, electronics, CNC equipment, plasma cutting equipment and the latest CAD / CAM applications were replaced by our MO Compact 900/6 machine. This means that our US customer now has a state-of-the-art machine in operation again.
Our customer can process tubes up to 12 m in length and 762 mm (30 in.) in diameter on this machine – quickly, precisely and worry-free for many years.
